Victoria, BC is the capital of British Columbia, the most western province in Canada, and located on Vancouver Island. Victoria still has its English charm and is often called more English than England itself.

Victoria is also quite often called “The City of Gardens” and you will see why.

Our journey will start early in the morning with us picking you up from your hotel in Vancouver, in a luxury car with your private local driver-guide to take you to the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal. Relax while we drive the approximate 50 minutes to the ferry terminal, which is located almost on the Canada/US border. Shortly after arrival we will drive the car onto the ferry, leave the car on the car deck and go out to the passenger deck to enjoy the views, have a bite to eat or just to relax. These ferries do have some of the facilities found on cruise ships including free Wi-Fi. Our cruise between the scenic Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia will take about an hour and a half before we arrive at Vancouver Island.

Another half an hour and we will arrive at our charming capital, Victoria. We are going to spend some time walking along the Inner Harbor, admire the views of the over 100-year-old Fairmont hotel, and the Parliament Buildings, which are open to the public on week-days. There is also the Royal British Museum, which is celebrating 130 years this year, and there will be time for a delicious lunch. Please be advised that lunch is not included in the price.

Be ready for more enjoyment for your eyes as we will drive the ocean route with the Cascade Mountains in the background. We will stop at some scenic points and have a chance to watch playful seals begging for fish. These cute (but still wild) animals will make you want to stay even longer by spinning around themselves. Don’t be surprised if you see a deer or rabbit along the road either. The world-famous Butchart Gardens are simply a must-see in Victoria and will definitely be a highlight of this long day. Here you will take a stroll through dazzling Sunken, Rose, Japanese, Mediterranean and Italian gardens. After you are completely taken by the smells of flowers and have indulged your senses, we will start our way back to Swartz Bay terminal in Victoria and journey back to your hotel in Vancouver.

The duration of the Victoria Tour is about 13 hours. Please ask about the option of seaplane returning back to Vancouver downtown. This option should be booked in advance.

  • Ferries and Fjords. One of the largest ferry operations in the world, BC Ferries provides sailings between Vancouver and Victoria which takes about 90 minutes. During this time we will leave the vehicle on the lower vehicle deck and move up to the comfortable passenger decks to enjoy the scenic views, fjords and dark blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.
  • BC Parliament. The legacy of a very talented English immigrant architect, Frances Rottenbury. On some days it is possible to get inside the Parliament Building (time permitting).
  • Fairmont Empress. An over 100-year-old hotel which is just about to have its renovations completed.
  • Inner Harbour. One of the most beautiful harbours in the world. During the summer months, the harbour is the focus of festivals, shows and music.
  • Sightseeing Route. Most tour companies will take you to Victoria by the quick highway route. We believe it is much more enjoyable to take the longer, scenic route with views of the Cascade Mountains, snow-capped Mount Baker, a stop at a scenic cattle point and other great experiences. It is quite a drive. Relax and enjoy!
  • Seals. Playful, cute, and curious! A must-see up close. Food for feeding these amazing creatures will be provided. Be sure to have your cameras ready!
  • Butchart Gardens. It all started over a century ago and now it is the number one attraction in Victoria. Five absolutely spectacular gardens await you to stroll through them. We guarantee you will be in total awe after this visit.
